The black company books are soooo good. As well as the malazan series. Changed fantasy as i knew it

Try the Indies. Several are better than the so-called best sellers. The Tony Mandolin Mysteries by RL Beers, James Hunters Veridian Gate, Jamie MacFarlane's stuff...
