Discussion:
Taimandred being proven true undermines all WoT fandom

Nothing RJ, Harriet, BS, the VHs/Tor, or any other associates can be taken
seriously now.

The series has been destroyed and unraveled. If only we had had proper
curators of this legacy in the vein of Christopher Tolkien, but alas,
Harriet would not provide Rigney with heirs.

You could try enjoying books for what is in them, once in a while, instead
of reveling in insulting people who have different interpretations than you.

What this basically proves is that the people who thought "Taim is Demandred in disguise" was a dumb plot point that made no narrative sense were right about it even before the author was.

The giant fanboy dummy-spit is just icing on the cake.

I can live with that.

The words you are looking for are:

"I was wrong and I apologize to all the people I insulted."

But hey, there is no point in expecting the impossible from people.

What was I wrong about?

Oh well, I did apologise as soon as I found out about this, so I will copy the same here:

You're still a whiner, though. I'm *sympathetic* about that, but not *apologetic*.

When someone is so thoroughly humiliated as you just were, the best reaction
is usually to keep a low profile. But I can see how someone with your
cognitive powers would not grasp that and prefer stick their head deep in
the sand. Keep up the good work of polluting the fandom.

Wow Chucky, you suck at apologising.

As for the idea that the anti-Taimandred faction was right even before RJ
was... note that right around when RJ changed his mind on Taimandred is
when the series went to shit.

What a pity that Jordan didn't wrap things up in ten books, maximum. The
overall quality would have been far better, and he would have still had
time to write a couple of the "outrigger" novels he'd been planning.

It helps that a lot of the people demanding apologies are obnoxious. But I genuinely am sorry that I stood up for Jordan's alleged behaviour in this case (although it's starting to look more and more dubious that there was actually any evidence, or that it meant anything if there was). He shouldn't have said that Demandred was never Taim if this had been part of his overall story plan at any point. Especially since he apparently enjoyed playing Aes Sedai so much in his book signings and avoided telling outright lies.

It wasn't necessary to my case that I defend these alleged statements of his, so it really was a separate argument.

It's posts like this that make it really easy to believe that this whole line of "new evidence" was just made up by somebody so they could still somehow be right about Taimandred. It also makes me want to withdraw my statements and my apology, which don't apply to what you seem to want them to apply to anyway.

But you know, I won't.
