Shadar Logoth, Male Channeler Spa and Health Resort

Now how could RJ have missed that?

Since Mashadar destroys the Taint, there must none in Shadar Logoth
(or very little). Rand would have felt it when he was fighting
Sammael in Shadar Logoth, and come back more often to just delight in
channelling pure Saidin and heal himself. Big hole there, RJ.

Then I would have built a nice resort in Shadar, under one of those
shields Moiraine used against Mashadar (and lots of light), complete
with Travelling grounds (and transportation service for those young
Ashaman who are unable to Travel), health spa, wimming pools, casino
and why not a few Domani to entertain the guests!
And completely safe from shadowspawn while Mashadar surrounds them!
What else would you like?

I disagree with you... Since you like scientific comparisons, let us
take one... The taint is like Oxygen, Shadar Logoth is like Hydrogen.
When you mix them, nothing happens. Then comes Rand. He discovers how to
light a spark, and make them burn, and both are changed to water. With
no spark, nothing. I don't mean this is necessarily as I explained, I
have nothing to back my claim, and I think the cleansing of the taint
was one of the most confused part of the books, but I think it is as
legitimate as what you propose.

I haven't read the book in awhile, but I don't think that Rand used
the the evil of Shadar Logoth to destroy the taint- he used saidar to
cleanse saidin. He did it in Shadar Logoth because nobody would care
that the energies released would level that particular place.

Not trying to be a jerk and say you're wrong, but saidar was used to
funnel (in a sort) saidin into Shadar Logoth. Which then the evil in SL
counteracted with the taint, and they both destroyed each other. That's
why niether SL or the taint was present after the cleansing.

Very nice idea! Instant heavy water! Deadly stuff in any case.

Ok, they could have made a little taint-free area for the spa, but
they're not after commercial gains, they cleaned it up for everyone,
everywhere. That's nicer. :)

Unfortunately, it also destroys people.
