AMoL spoilers, obviously.

Throught the series, male Forsaken and other major antagonists have all
gotten quick, clean deaths, usually in honorable single combat. Most
often balefire (which frees them from the Dark One to be born again), but
there's also Couladin losing his duel to Mat, Asmo getting killed
instantly, Slayer losing to Perrin, Demandred losing to Lan, Taim losing
to Egwene. Even Moridin and Fain get quick exits.

But the following Evil Women survive the end of the series:
Messana -- mind broken, reduced to a drooling retard shitting herself
Graendal -- Permanently (?) compulsed to serve Aviendha
Moghedien -- leashed by the Seanchan
Elidia -- same, and she wasn't even a Darkfriend
Alviarin -- enslaved by the Aiel, not permitted to channel
Alviarin -- imprisoned in a stedding (this isn't too bad though)

There are probably more I'm forgetting.

There walked into the lethal quicksands a very old man in tattered
purple, crowned with withered vine-leaves and gazing ahead as if upon the
golden domes of a fair city where dreams are understood. That night
something of youth and beauty died in the elder world. - H P Lovecraft

Actually, I was always under the impression that balefire, like
killing someone in Tel'Aran'Rhiod in the flesh, removed them from the
Pattern completely. No rebirth.

I only have a line from the Guide to back that up, but it's more than
I think is stated either way in the actual series. Unless you spotted
one.

No argument over the way the guys die, though. With the possible
exception of Moridin.

Enh ... those two, not so much in my opinion.

Hooray.

Graendal -- Permanently (?) compulsed to serve Aviendha
Yeah, not sure what happened to her - I was going to assume Aviendha
had just killed her at the earliest opportunity.

Moghedien -- leashed by the Seanchan
Bit dull, it had already happened to Elaida but it did have "not
again" value.

And always a possibility of escape.

Richly deserved, though.

Missed these, although the trap that Androl set (Alviarin's final
"end") was pretty neat and yeah, not too terrible an end. Sooner or
later (as per the men after the Breaking) they would have to leave, or
die. And the Ogier wouldn't let them leave. So, chance at
rehabilitation, at best?

Still not entirely sure how they managed to gateway in to the
outskirts of the stedding (well, Androl, he was a genius) and then
blunder in (and not get out again in time) without noticing. In other
cases, channelers felt it when they entered a stedding.
