As Salaam Aleikum!

In Loc or ACoS, Mat was informed that a BoE had appeared as a 'fog' in
the Rahad in Ebou Dhar and that this 'fog' killed people by eating them.
But in which book is this BoE mentioned and specifically in what
chapter? I'v searched high and low in LoC and ACoS, both in the English
and Swedish version, but I have not been able to locate where this
particular BoE was reported to Mat. Hepl me, please!

The Boe that I'm interested in locating is mentioned to Mat when he's in
Ebou Dar and it appeared BEFORE the Seanchan took the city by storm at
the end of ACoS. So he must have been informed of this BoE either at the
end of Loc or in ACoS. One of the commanders of the Red Hand informs Mat
that a 'fog' had suddenly appeared in the Rahad and that it ate people.
I think the conversation between Mat and this commander ran like this:

Commander: It seems that a 'fog' have appeared in the Rahad.
Mat think this must be insane for a normal fog would not last a
heartbeat in the searing heat that engulfed Randland since at least from
TFoH and onwards until the Bowl of the Wind is used in PoD.
Mat: A fog in the Rahad?
Commander: Yes, and it's killing people by eating them alive.

So this particular BoE must have been described either in LoC or ACoS,
and what I want is info WHERE this 'fog' is reported to Mat. I certainly
*don't* want to read through the whole Loc and ACoS to find this info!

Is'nt this the 'fog' found in the Ways? Later on it got powerful enough
to escape the Ways to a certain degree. This because a certain carackter
could control it. This was made clear in the last books when Mat and
that certain carackter had their chapters.

Well, finally, after diligently searching in the chapters where Mat is
in Ebou Dhar, thatI managed to locate the passage in ACoS where this BoE
(the 'fog' in Rahad which ate people) was mentioned. It was in ch. "The
Triumph Of Logic", p. 337 (Orbit paperback). So now *this* mystery have
been solved.
