I think it's pretty obvious that most red sisters are lesbians but
this is the first clear evidence in TWOT that I've found so far of
homosexuality.

Chapter 5 KOD:

"Lacile had found her own protector by climbing into the blankets of
the Mera'din who had made her gai'shain. and Arrela had done the same
with one of the Maidens who had captured her, but Faile doubted that
Jhoradin would attain his wish."

Arrela a female is sleeping with one of the Maidens!

?? References to "pillow-friends" mean just what you think they mean, and
predate that by some time.

Comes up in, for instance, New Spring. Let's see... New Spring has most of
the references, it seems, but it also turns up in Path of Daggers, Winter's
Heart, and some mentions in connection with Galina before then.

Why do you assume the Mera'din are female??
Rolan most definatly was not.
Read that again, Jhoradin would attain *his* wish.

Also, in Winter's Heart it becomes clear that the Windfinder Shalon
and the Lady Ailil were having an affair; this gives Cadsuane et al a
hold over them both. I think we're still waiting for a mention of male
homosexuality existing, though. ;)
